I am using a template (purchased) that has VERY few module positions. It does not have one where I need it.
I want to add the imagerotator/slideshow to the main, upper part of the content area.
Can I put the imagerotator into the main content area of an article somehow? Like via the source code?

I really appreciate your help --- THANK YOU!

    Hi Barrie,

This drop down menu module came with the template that I purchased. It adds some specialness to it! Can you install this into the modules folder?

    It is for site:

Can you explain why this menu requires an extension for it to function in it's fancy way?

Is there a way to add some finesse to this? Right now it is very plain styling. Can you point me to a tutorial so that I could edit the style of this somehow? Maybe change the font, add rules or arrows, rollover effects.

I am working very hard on this site to make it exactly what my client wants... she's a possible prospect for more book/author sites.

Many template designers are lazy and use extensions with Javascript to
do menus instead of careful CSS.

What is the URL of the vendor's demo of the template?

Well... that menu is Javascipt driven... which means its going to be
poorly indexed by Google. Pure CSS menus are much better for SEO.

    Something like
    http://demotemplates.joomlashack.com/cloud9/
    http://demotemplates.joomlashack.com/impacto/

Have these pure CSS menu techniques.

If you want to use that menu/template, you'll have to mess around with
the CSS of it to get it how you want it.

What exactly is attracting you to this template?

The template was chosen by my client and I lack the experience in separating good from bad in templates!

Where can I get info/help with the CSS for the menu?

I am not too sure who could help you rebuild that menu. It would
probably cost $300-500 to do so.

Perhaps you can explain to the client the issue with Google indexing
and SEO and see if they reconsider.

I'd also recommend Joomlashack as a starting place for showing
templates to clients, then Joomlapraise. Both have strong SEO
foundations and are easy to customize.

I will seriously consider a new template.

Can you direct me to a tutorial for css editing instructions?

Hi Judith ONeill, how could I set up the dropdown menu in an horizontal way?. I´ve just installed the file that you have shared and my website looks like this:

    http://www.carismaviajes.com/web

I´m having serious problems with dropdown menus. I have installed over 7 or 8 different modules. Could anyone please share a URL with a good module to set up an horizontal dropdown Menu?
