Site name on homepage
Hi,
I have just started my first Simplweb site:
570blackbur.simplweb.com/
How do i take the site name off my homepage without deleting it out
of the Global Configuration.
also,
I changed my site to 1blackburn.co.uk but it just links to
Simplweb, do you know how long this will take? it has been nearly
24 hours.
Regards,
Phill

Hi Phillip,
I'm not seeing the site name on your homepage. I see the article titles, which you can turn off in the parameters feature under article manager.
As for your URL, everything was setup properly, you just fogot to click apply once you added it into the backend of your domain manager. I've gone ahead and done that for you and your site is rendering now. Please note that pictures will take up to 24 hours to populate.
All the best,
Dawn

Are you not seeing this: "Blackburn Shopping, Discounts & Vouchers, What's On, News - 1Blackburn.co.uk" underneath the pictures? I am.
This is the title from global configuration, I have turned off all my article titles.
Thanks for setting domain up, must of forgot that bit.
Thanks,
Phill

Hi Phill,
I deleted the meta tag in the global configuration and clicked save and it was still populating the home page. Note: I have since added it back so you don't lose the SEO benefits. Is there anywhere else that you entered this info that you can think of?

I have not entered this anywhere else.
I have just deleted the title from global configuration & refreshed, the title has gone from home page but also title of site has gone. When i add this back it returns on homepage.

I will add this back in a few mins so you can see, unless you want to try and add some txt in title and see if it happens.

It's all set now, the problem was with the configuration in the menu manager, Under component parameters you can control what information is displayed.
All the best,
Dawn

I have sorted it.
It was the "Show Page Title" in the "Parameters (System)" in the Home menu item,
Thanks,
