Hello,

Can you tell me where I would find a tutorial on how to have an ebook sent to an email address upon an individual's registration to my site? Could you tell me how it can be done?

Regards,
Sandra

    Hi John

    Actually, this is pretty easy.

We have an integration with a 3rd party email newsletter called Mailchimp
(its free up to 2000 subscribers)

When people register, you can add them to an autoresponder, or, just send
the link to download the file with the welcome email.

I do this on my own blog here:
    http://www.compassdesigns.net/joomla-downloads

Try it yourself and subscribe there....

    Barrie,

I already have created an account with mailchimp and integrated with my site. I've set up a list and set up the registration form for my site. I am struggling with how to have the ebook sent along with the welcome email. Do I have to wait for registrations to occur and then send out the welcome emails? I am a "newbie" and kind of need step by step guidance for this one, I am learning as I go.

    Thanks,
    Sandra

Here is a guide we did for iContact

Mailchimp would be more or less the same.
