How to's
Is there a module for scrolling newsflashes?
How can I add a hits counter on our home page. I am thinking it will be a custom module with html from a third party site, similar to google calendar. (I didn't setup the calendar)
With the current template if I put our entire school name in the global configuration (site title) it puts it on two lines and down into the picture. Can I change the font size somwhere?
Can you tell me how to make the kids on stage logo an active button to an external link?

Hi Elliotte,
You're starting to ask questions that get into custom CSS and HTML programming (font size change, external link for a logo). If you would like to make a list of these customizations while you build the site, I would be happy to implement them at a rate of $75/hour billed via Simplweb. Most of the time, these customizations are relatively quick and easy and limited to less than an hours worth of time. I can provide an estimate once you've prepared all of the changes you'd like.
As for newsflashes, you do have a component called newsfeeds that you can setup in the backend of your site and assign to any position in your template. To see available positions add ?tp=1 to your home page URL.
I would add the counter to your footer module using an html/javascript program that is available for free on the internet. Just copy the code and paste it into your footer. Make sure when you paste it into the editor you click on the little HTML button first. This will open up the HTML insert dialog box. Otherwise it will strip the code completely or render it to look just like the code.
All the best,
Dawn

Can you tell me how I can fix our front page to wrap text from articles that are posted to it?

Hi Elliotte,
Everything is rendering well on my browser in Mozilla. Perhaps you
could describe more clearly what it is you'd like to accomplish?
Thanks,
Dawn

If you look closely at the article about the governor on the front page, the words on the right hand side are being cut off.
Thanks!

Hi Elliote,
Usually we do not support other folks templates, that is their domain. However, I was able to apply a quick CSS fix to the column in the middle. It looks like you pressed enter after each line in the article to fix the width issue, so you'll need to go in a correct that. If you're not happy with how it looks once you fix the article we'll have to do the remaining fixes at an hourly rate.
All the best,
Dawn

I understand the hourly rate and why, but does it look like it got fixed to you? Wonder if it is me using chrome as a browser?
Thanks!

Hi Elliotte,
If you look at the second article it is populating properly. I've spent another 15 minutes trying to debug it and it would take some real looking around to figure out why the article width is 20% wider than the column/table that it's being inserted into. Are you sure you're committed to this template? We just finished up a template for another school that looks great and would only cost you about $50 to purchase. Here's the portal to the demo: https://joomlashack.infusionsoft.com/go/academia/globox/
All the best,
Dawn
