Ways to present images

I am working on updates to our school website and need an elegant way to present photos from our different events. I Tried the shackslides option and that works for presenting smallish images like this - http://www.westschool.org/

But what I need is more like a FB photo album or series of albums that I could either embed in a page related to that event or in an "Around the School" page with all the albums. Am I using shackslides wrong or is there another way to embed the extension?

Is there something already installed or something I could easily install that would do this?

    Hi Teresa,

I've added a module position called slider and created a demo slideshow to show you how shackslides can be used to show an album. Since the site is live, you'll want to turn it on to see how it looks. Right now it is assigned to the home page only, you could make a copy of this slideshow and then change the directory of images and assign it to another page, like yearbook or sports to show images specific to that section of the site.

Note: The slideshow is set to be 780px wide by 300 px tall so you need to size the images you place in the folders accordingly; otherwise, they stretch like they are now in the demo which looks funny.

    All the best,

    Dawn

This is great and works well. I created a Yearbook page and assigned
    the slider to the page.

Is there a way for me to take the contents of the right and left
columns off this page so all it is will be slider?

    Hi Teresa,

Yes, you can turn off the modules assigned to the right and left columns in the module manager. Click on the module title and open it. Once open, scroll down and look to the left under menu assignment. Currently, these left and right hand modules are assigned to every page on your site. To change that click to assign it on to selected pages. Then, holding the ctrl key, highlight the pages you want the modules to show up on and leave the other pages - like yearbook - unselected. Once you're done, click save. That should take care of it.

    All the best,

    Dawn
