I currently have a joomla site but it is not hosted with simplweb. I am interested in transferring my site over and possibly adding two new (completely different) sites as well. I read that with a simplweb account we can manage up to 5 independent sites. How exactly does this work? What is the cost? What are the specific guidelines for doing this?

Thanks for the info.

    Hi Jay,

With each Simplweb account you can launch up to 5 sites. This includes support and tutorials. It also includes the installation and backup of sites to assist with migration. This means you can attach the backup of your current site to this ticket and we'll upload it to your Simplweb site - which you would create and give us the URL for - for free. It also means that you can request a backup of your site at any time in the chance that you would like to move it somewhere else. We save all of our backups and perform two backups a day.

If you'd like to move forward. Please create a new site in your Simplweb account area, copy the URL and paste it into this ticket with a backup of your current Joomla site. Please note that any extensions that we do not support will not translate into your new site. This works out for most customers since we provide a package of extensions with every site that covers most areas: slideshow, pdf viewer, SEO optimization, etc. It will take a little reworking for you, but you'll have that freedom since your other site is up. Once you're new site is done at Simplweb, you can easily redirect it to the URL you are using for the old site.

    Warm Regards,

    Dawn
